A doctor of philosophy in neuroscience and physiology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dominic D’Agostino has numerous publications and podcasts on keto nutrition, ketone ester, seizures, cancer, ketone supplementation, and associated ketone technologies. Dominic D’Agostino is also a member of various groups and organizations related to her area of study and specialization including the Winning the Fight against Neurodegenerative Diseases and their programs, such as the Deanna Protocol (DP).

Named after the first person to follow the plan, Deanna, and developed by Dr. Vincent Tedone, the protocol is a natural, drug-free, and affordable metabolic regimen for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). According to scientific studies, the program delays the progression of the disease and extends survival chances.

The program consists of a list of substances, including 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP, Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG), GABA, Coenzyme Q10, and Niacin, which, though naturally existing in healthy people, are deficient in ALS patients. The regimen replenishes the substances to the required levels, providing energy to the dying nerve cells. The researchers, however, continue to work on a new and more effective proprietary ratio of the components, including lower costs, simpler distribution, and easy-to-follow combinations.

Though the protocol was designed to work alone, those already subscribed to stem cell therapy or other treatments can combine them to enhance the results potentially. However, consult your doctor on possible contraindications before the combination.
